Jeremiah Titsworth began his music studies while in middle school. He began playing the trumpet in band and later began to study the piano. After graduating from high school, he continued his music studies at Oklahoma Baptist University where he continued to study piano and explore music and composition. Jeremiah completed his studies at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and earned a degree in music therapy. While at SWOSU, he had the privilege to study piano with the late Dr. James Breckenridge and composition with Dr. Dennis Widen. After graduation in 2008, he and his partner moved to Enid, Oklahoma where he practiced music therapy, composed and picked up playing the organ. In late 2011 Jeremiah moved to Oklahoma City and opened a piano studio and began working on his master’s degree in music composition. While at Oklahoma City University Jeremiah studied piano with organ with Dr. Melissa Plamann, and composition with Dr. Edward Knight. He graduated with honors in 2017.
As a composer, Jeremiah has won several awards and have written for various schools and ensembles around Oklahoma City. His latest piece, Farewell to Thee, was premiered by Deer Creek High School in Edmond, Oklahoma in 2022. In 2021 Jeremiah was awarded the Oklahoma Music Teachers Association's Commissioned Composer Award and was short listed for the Red Jaspar Award in 2022. He has been commissioned by Dr. Melissa Plamann, and the Venegas Duo of Oklahoma City. Jeremiah has been teaching piano for 15 years and composition for 5. During lessons, Jeremiah incorporates music therapy techniques and other strategies to help students reach their musical goals and potential. |

Starting August 2024 J Titsworth Music will be offering three new classes, Music Theory Fundamentals, Music Composition, and Group Piano.
Music Theory Fundamentals
Music Theory Fundamentals will cover the basics of reading, writing, and understanding music notation used in everyday music. Classes will start August 10th and run through December 7. The children's classes will be at 10 am, adult section will meet at 11am. Cost is $45 per student.
